its time to celebrate our 20th release on local talk and we do it with a very special release. mike sharon might not be a known name yet but trust us, this guy is going places and his ep for local talk is one of those eps that lives up to everything we believe in when it comes to house music.

continuing their quest to unearth deep house gems new and old, vibes & pepper introduce the world to manuel keyz with a killer four-track workout that makes all the classic moves. the strings and keys come in seductive, nocturnal arrangements, while the snippets of vocal come from true soul divas, all atop of bumping garage house funk. the tune that stands out to our ears is >orange love<, replete with sexy saxophone fit for lil louis and dreamy key flourishes that give a considered and wistful tone to the track, but really there is plenty to work with on all four corners of this ep.

life recorder aka, kriss kortz, with his original mix of beyond taking us on a journey with clean crisp percussion and beautifully constructed stabs that melt and transform us into a head bobbing junkie. first on the remix is the machine kirk degiorgio, keeping his mix tight and ready for the big floors, concentrating your soul on what we can only describe as hard-boiled funk. the second course is landed on our plate by label head elliott dodge, maintaing his raunchy 909 undertones and reverberated stabs, keeping us waving for one more. detroit born dj3000 aka: frank juncaj, takes his adaptation of beyond far into club technos sweet harmonious land of uplifting swagger.

after having blessed the world with >soarex< released on our sublabel irr (international records recordings), including a remix by ada, we would now like to welcome von spar to areal. and this time, the remix comes from no other than techno legend john tejada. with >jon voight<, the hamburg-based artists have created another epic masterpiece in line with their earlier electronic tracks: great emotions, melodies you will never forget... in other words: a track that will send something of a shiver down your spine. tejada, of austrian decent now living in the united states, shows full respect for the original version and comes up with a remix that has proven immensely effective on the dancefloor. it so effective that we still find ourselves awestruck in the studio. well, in the meantime, we have to admit that we went out to one or two parties, but only to find ourselves back in the studio again, still awestruck.

known for his releases on hamilton dance and on the prowl party breaks, marcos cabral comes from brooklyn, new york, and needs no introduction for the house music lovers... after been fascinated with his work, we decided to approach marcos to try to join him on our new project, a harmless deed, because we thought it was exactly the type of artist and music we were looking for and when we recieved the demo we were not let down at all. land of tar ep is a mixture of oldschool sounds with a modern and personal point of view. on the a side we can find > pitch lake<, our favourite track on the package. already tested and probed to be working perfectly on the dancefloor, it yet has a deep, weird and beautiful touch. b side is more classic chicago influenced, on the old mr fingers type, 707, synthy melodies, pads and strings...

japans rhythm of elements return with another e.p. that display their versatility and belief in the many forms that soulful music can take. >tribe #3< contains the classic rhythm of elements combination of dj uchikawas firing electronic beats alongside virtuoso piano playing by makoto kuriya, plus bass by incognitos francis hylton. the track is a tribute to the late departed detroit electronic music artist aaron carl who sadly passed away last year. continuing the detroit connection, rick wilhite has been working with the likes of theo parrish and moodymann for years, and his remix of >tribe #3< provides an audio beatdown, stripping the whole thing down to its rawest elements, and supplying the hard and the smooth in perfect balance. >blow< is another journey into a percussive horn driven groove for the dancefloor. rhythm of elements provide the remix, layering the musical elements like flavours in a delicious cake. finally, >meditation bath< (loftsoul 2012 mix) takes the pace right down for this beautifully relaxing slow burner. close your eyes and let it flow over you.

real tone rolls out the red carpet as we welcome a very special guest to our ranks, the inimitable point g. a side project of the great dj gregory, point g is an alias used by the french producer to explore a gritty, raw sound steeped in abstract vibes but with a very basic approach, which makes it all the more captivating. stripping away all the unessary baggage that comes with some todays music, point gs productions suck you into a deep, dark abyss where subtlety and simplicity reign supreme. them embody an alternative take on us deep house with gs personal touch and a sprinkling of french romance. point g unveils two tracks from years gone by that eclipse many of todays productions.

the radioactive orchestra is a scientific musical translator based on our current knowledge of the structure of atomic nuclei in nuclear physics. using the radioactive orchestra, we can create melodies and rhythmic patterns that are based on the nuclear energy levels and gamma radiation observed in experiments at accelerator laboratories around the world. radioactive orchestra remixed is the result of a competition held by studio barnhus, kth royal institute of technology and ksu. using radioactive orchestras online music composer, contestants were able to submit their own compositions. the two winning contributions, by the zzzzz and abdulla rashim, have been remixed by Âme and jonsson/alter.

tm404 is a new concept from analogue mastermind andreas tilliander aka mokira (kontra-musik, raster-noton, type). tm404 uses a multiple set up of the classic roland machines tb-303, tb-606 and mc-202 to create a mesmerizing acidic techno-drone. tm404 will release a full-length album on kontra-musik in late january and we are very much looking forward. but before that we have another great release to present. kontra-musik 028 is by far our most radical release on so far. this is dance music really pushed the limit. what you are about to hear is the result of morphosis (morphine records) remixing tm404 using his favorite korg machines – the ms20 and the sq10. rabihs own words on the music: quite challenging and not really ordinary dance music. i believe in moving forward with things, with whatever chances and possibilities i have, it is my contribution to this world.

a fistful of wax is an extension for some very special projects of our beloved deep house skylax records sub – label wax classic. for this first release, we give you the opportunity to grab 5 fantastic trax done by some of the best deep house producers at the moment. a1 is done by the great girogio luceri whose been releasing some very hot tunes through jamal moss mathematics & runaways on the prowl labels. a2 is done by jamie trench one of the new hot producer made in london, his track sound very very garage & we loved it instantly. while on the b side we have again 3 bomb tracks featuring first on b1 jackmaster k who delivers clearly an anthem, it reminds us some of best house music made in uk (circa 91/92), this track could have been played by sasha & digweed or carl cox at shoom ! b2 is marcoradi , an italian producer who teamed up with the great nicholas on one his 4lux release. he also produced many remixes (erykah badu ect ...) & some 12 inches over the years. b3 is rio padice from rawax & housewax fame those tracks are all firmly rooted into the deep house sound (check the detroitian vibes of get back). they never settle into one comfortable, predictable groove. its heady, emotion-rich grooves include warm, melodic two-step and future garage flavas, dubwise slo-mo grooves. its eclectic, no doubt, but thanks to those guys warm production and heavy deep vocals, this release will put your hands up in the air marvellously.

nice price deal !!! dennis busch is an artist who is well-known to all pingipung fans for his >james din a4< contributions to our catalogue. this man of many faces has also developed a reputation as visual artist. therefore he decides to present his music under the same name: dennis busch - which we think might be his real one. dennis busch has delivered an enormous output of odd, melodic techno tracks in the last decade – mostly on his own now unfortunately vanished esel imprint (this means donkey).

for signal life #03, we teamed up two young vigorous south londoners: mr. louis carnell, known by his moniker visionist, and mr. marco giuliani, who works under the alias last japan. >control this< by visionist combines his background in south london grime with his signature drum machine template and lo-fi vocal excerpts into a coherent mesh. our favourite visionist track to date! when we first heard >storm trooper< by last japan, it was the tension we got caught up in. the song is focused with a clear direction, uncommon in most young talent, armed with a driving snare-fill rhythm reminiscent of south rap and all that exiting stuff in the 160 bpm. i believe murky is the correct term. we predict interesting things for mr. giuliani.
